Open Question: Early Return Of Dependents Losses and Entitlements?

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

I just recently did a ERD for my wife and son back to the states because of diffuculties and upcoming deployment. There was a ERD Packet stated everything about doing a ERD. But there was some grey areas that have came up. The first one stated that once orders and housing have been completed then BAH will start for the rate at which my spouse is then BAH will start for me at single rate. Finance has been saying that this information was wrong but the packet was put out by USARAK. The next one that I have been hearing is that since I have sent my spouse home at free will I will not be eligable for Family Seperation Pay while I am deployed. Does anyone no about this.

Open Question: Would I ruin my life if I transfer colleges?

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

Currently, I am a freshman at Mount Holyoke College.

Due to a change in my family’s financial situation, I will have to transfer back home to Seattle University. (Regardless of the issues my family currently faces, they still will not milk a dime of financial aid).

I have dreamed of attending law school at Georgetown or Yale. Now, I fear that my dreams will evaporate because of this forced transfer. I am a very good student and earning a 3.8 GPA with a very challenging curriculum and I participate in a fair amount of activities.

I would like to specialize my law degree in business and finance or perhaps international law (I’m not sure as of yet, but I’m only 18).

What do you think? From your professional perspective, do you think I am in trouble and have ruined my life?

I want to be successful financially and professionally, as well as be incredibly independent and without worry. This is what I’ve been groomed for and now this horrible thing has happened. Am I over?

Open Question: Should i lease, rent, sell or stay ? Im trying to find the best way to get into real estate investing..?

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

OK, i bought the condo 1.5yrs ago for 116,000 plus closing, 100% financing so there is little equity. I pay 940 mortgage(prop. tax incld.) and 200 for mait fee. Im either thinking of renting it out, or lease to own. The problem is with the bad market the house has dropped in value since i got it. I want to rent it or lease it and in a few months get a multi-family to rent out as well. Im looking to get into the cycle as soon as possible, but i dont want to make a mistake or move to fast. Please leave any creative ideas you might have or advice..leave contact info if you would like to mentor me or email me at mikemassucci@yahoo.com..thanks
